The King is dead… Long live the King.

This post is devoted to those seventh and eighth grade students who participated in a painting/poster competition which I organized lately on January 27. The occasion was Republic day (January 26) and the topic “Communal Harmony in India.”

All the students are from different schools of AMU. The competition was funded by Sultan Jahan Muslim Social Upliftment Society as part of its English Proficiency Program. The English Proficiency Program is a replication of The English Access Microscholarship Program (ACCESS), US Embassy.

Please feel free to give any suggestions to these young painters—I will pass them on or they will be able to read them themselves.

At the down most is the picture of a baby bird. She was born in our house. On 27 it was the first time that I saw her walking on the floor or trying to fly. When I was studying, she sat next to me all day. To my disappointment, next day on 28 she was found dead on the roof. Perhaps she was ill when she sat next to me :(

"The King is dead… Long live the King."
